Our Supporters and Funders

One charity reaching many communities

Everything we do at Community Development Chesterfield (CDC) is made possible through the generosity, trust and support of the organisations that believe in our communities.

From youth provision and food support to community buildings, transport, digital inclusion and activities for families, funding enables us to turn ideas into practical support that makes a difference to local people.

We are incredibly grateful to every organisation that has invested in CDC and the communities we serve.

Chesterfield Borough Council

Chesterfield Borough Council has provided significant support to CDC across a number of projects.

This includes £15,000 to fund the Cosy Hub solar panel system, helping us improve our carbon footprint at our premises.

The Council has also supported the purchase of our 16-seat accessible community minibus through £12,000 of funding through Chesterfield Pride in Place.

Our minibus has opened up a completely new area of support for CDC, helping us tackle transport barriers and enabling children, young people, community groups and local residents to access activities, services and opportunities further afield.

Other projects have also been funded by Chesterfield Borough Council.

Digital Support Derbyshire / Rural Action Derbyshire

CDC received £10,000 to deliver our 18-month Digital Inclusion Project.

The project provides free one to one digital support, workshops, outreach and Digital Champion support across communities including Newbold, Duckmanton, Poolsbrook, Grangewood and Tupton.

We aim to support around 250 people to become more confident using technology, access essential online services such as the NHS App and Universal Credit and reduce the isolation that digital exclusion can create.

Foundation Derbyshire

We are incredibly grateful to Foundation Derbyshire for supporting Community Development Chesterfield and the work we deliver across our local communities.

Their support has enabled us to continue developing grassroots services that respond directly to local need, helping us provide opportunities, activities and practical support for children, young people, families and residents.

Our Thanks

Funding is about much more than numbers on a grant award.

It means a young person having somewhere safe to go after school. It means a family being able to access food when money is tight. It means someone gaining the confidence to use an essential online service. It means a community having somewhere to meet, a child experiencing somewhere new and a resident being able to access an opportunity that transport would otherwise have put out of reach.

Most importantly, it allows CDC to be there.

We are proud of the trust our funders have placed in Community Development Chesterfield and we are committed to making sure that every pound entrusted to us creates as much benefit as possible for the communities we serve.

To all of our funders, partners and supporters, thank you for helping us make it happen.
